Antidote - card game
Antidote is a casual, fast card game with micro strategy: the mechanics help the player create quick decisions based on set actions they can choose to do in their turn. Accompanied with the cards is a rule sheet that explains the mechanics. This work was done in collaboration with Barbara Charrue.

The "side effects" mechanic alter the gameplay by changing the central play field’s majority of one card. Players would have to adjust their micro strategy for a period of time before the next player gets a chance to change the side effect again.

A sense of frustration and satisfaction can be gained as a result of the risk and reward system these mechanics provide. Being able to trigger these emotions in a game gives value as it deals with the gameplay experience and the player’s motivation for play.
